“Boring Metal Things”
A past client phoned us the other day and asked for a photographer recommendation. She worked with us when she was the lead at a red-hot downtown hotel. Now she’s the VP of marketing at an industrial company that makes brewing equipment. She said that she had hundreds of cast and machined parts that needed photography, and did we know anyone who does this kind of work.
I told her, “We do!” With gusto.
Our studio is perfect for gigs like this. We can load in from the driveway, work through a whole bunch of parts over as many days are needed. It’s warm, it’s bright, it’s comfortable and we can listen to any music or podcasts we like. Just because the work is basic doesn’t mean we pass on it. We are always glad to make useful photos for our clients and customers.
Plus, sometimes this work is as challenging as any other. Making photos that are informative, accurate and attractive is the goal whether it’s a restaurant or a ratcheting strap. We use the same skill set with a vent hose and and a bottle of wine.
So if “boring metal stuff” is part of your marketing challenge, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’ll put on the coffee and work through your list so that you can move your project forward.
