Hotel Photography at Tu Tu Tun Lodge

Truth be told, I didn’t know what to expect when we arrived to shoot at the Tu Tu Tun Lodge in Gold Beach, Oregon. First, the name was unlike anything I’ve heard of. It sounded esoteric, but the sound of the words didn’t give me any clues. Second: Gold Beach? I thought to myself, “there’s nothing in Gold Beach, is there?”

Heading into the shoot, all the conversations with the marketing team were SO informative. Well planned. Thoughtful. I’m thinking–“these peeps really have their stuff together.” This project could potentially be more than the typical coastal hotel gig.

But as we rolled up the driveway in the fading light at 4pm, I wasn’t prepared for how wonderful, relaxing, warm and hospitable we would find the Tu Tu Tun Lodge. With a start as a humble fishing lodge, the lodge has grown and evolved into beautiful, comfortable home-away-from-home with amazing views, plush rooms and delicious meals.

Our client at Columbia Hospitality gave us all the access and support we needed to cover the lodge rooms, the whole-house rentals, and the restaurant. Along the way we had the opportunity to experience the warm care and hospitality that you’ll find. I’m told that people make their annual reservation as they depart each season.
